About
David Lee
A personal site for writing clearly and building things carefully.
I work mostly in software engineering, with a strong bias toward systems work in Rust and Go. I like understanding how things behave closer to the metal, and I’ll happily spend time tinkering with Linux internals or debugging something that absolutely should not be failing but is anyway.
Outside of work, I spend time hiking and bird watching—simple stuff that gets me away from screens and forces attention back to the real world.
I also play games occasionally. Most recently, I went deep on Resident Evil Requiem, finishing it on insanity mode and replaying it seven times—not because I had to, but because I kept finding new ways to optimize the run.
This site starts with structured writing and MDX-based articles, but it’s intentionally open-ended. It leaves room for experiments, small labs, and technical explorations without turning into a heavy application too early.
